Fourth Sunday of Lent Year A (Mothers Day)

As we draw closer to the climactic point of our Faith, the celebration of the Easter Festivities, the Church invites us to rejoice because of the milestones we have attained so far in our Lenten journey, because our salvation is closer than when we first began. That is to say that the celebration of the Event that saved and is saving us is indeed close at hand. Whilst we rejoice, like the blind man in today’s Gospel we pray that the Lord to may open our eyes and grant us his vision so that we may not judge by or look at appearance, but like Him look beyond the way things present or appear. It is only when our eyes are enlightened by him could we become light in the world guiding others to the True Light by the power of God’s guided vision. However, acting in accordance with God’s vision may not always bring you accolade, in fact, more often than not you may be despised for it or be seen as awkward and unhelpful just like David was seen in the house of Jesse as inconsequential until grace exalted him. But with our eyes enlightened to walk in God’s vision, Grace must surely locate us regardless of where the world, in its ignorance, may have relegated us. Anyway, find out more and be blessed as you listen.

Happy Laetare Sunday.

Happy Mothers Day

God bless.
